Airports

We recommend flying into LaGuardia or JFK airports, both of which are conveniently located in the area. LaGuardia has been recently renovated and is actually quite nice now! If you fly into Newark airport in New Jersey, you should be prepared for a longer trip into Brooklyn.

Navigating New York

We encourage you to take advantage of New York's robust subway system as the fastest and cheapest way to get around the city!

• Use the Citymapper app for the best subway and bus directions.
• Use Google Maps for the best walking directions.
• You can use tap-to-pay on your phone or card to enter the subway and bus.
• For rideshare apps, Lyfts tend to be cheaper than Ubers in this area.

What's the wedding dress code?

Cocktail attire. Bright colors, bold prints, and sparkle are all encouraged (but of course, not required). Have fun getting dressed up—it's a party! Ceremony and reception will both be held indoors.

What's the weather like in New York in October?

October in New York is filled with beautiful crisp fall days, with average temperatures in the 60s-70s. We recommend packing a light jacket and layers, and maybe a small umbrella just in case. And don't forget to wear comfortable shoes!
